When the production dies are tested in the foundry, we produce samples, which are then supplied to the customer complete with inspection reports for their evaluation.
Materials:
Most aluminium grades are cast within the BS1490 and ISO ranges. Ingot is sourced from our approved supplier base. The ingot is melted in electrically heated furnaces helping to ensure a good metal quality.
Development fabrications and existing sand castings can be designed to be more cost effective by:-
a) Eliminating some areas previously machined.
b) Reducing assembly time on components by incorporating studs,

bushes and threaded inserts etc., at the casting stage. This will also reduce machining costs further.
c) Die casting is a more cost effective method of production compared to sand casting.
Production Tooling:
Production tools can be made up from customer drawings, samples or CAD files. Production dies can often be produced as cheaply as sand casting pattern equipment offered by our competitors. Tooling is manufactured on site in our own tool room. Having

Process Control:
The process is controlled to ensure our customers receive products that are effective and economical. We ask customers to provide us with information on key points, dimensions etc. From this we formulate our inspection procedures. Parts can be
machined and painted to customer requirements.
Quality System:
We have a system in place that complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9002. Copies of our quality manual are available on request and customer's independent quality assessors are welcomed.
